Hello Friends! I would love to see what music activities you are working on at home. Please email photos or videos of you practicing your recorder, your music journal entries, your drawings, playing the piano, or any musical instruments you've made. PLEASE get your parents' permission first! I will post (with parent's permission) in my Photo Gallery( click on "More" at top of page). I miss you all!! Ms. Summers
Hello 3rd Graders! We have a LOT to do to make sure you are all caught up when you return to school! These are the things I hope you will learn over this extended break:
1. We have an Instrument Test when we return. You will need to be able to identify instruments not only by sight, but by sound. Below I have attached which instruments you will need to know and some links that will be helpful to you
2. Famous American songs will need to be learned. Below you will find links to the lyrics(words), as well as recordings of me playing and singing the songs. Please try to learn the songs as best you can before we see each other again :)
3. Recorders: You have your book and your recorder. Your book has a LOT of good information in the first 3 pages about how to hold the instrument, breathing, and note reading. PLEASE READ IT. Also, in the back of the book are all the fingerings for every note you need. I will be posting links to instructional videos soon, Please check back. And finally.....practice!!
